A Comparatistics Tour on The Wings of Hezârfen

TANITIM YAZISI

This is a new study derived from my book titled Sınırları Aşan Bir Bilim Olarak Komparatistik. Hezârfen Kanatlarında Yazınbiliminden Komparatistiğe “Büyük Tur” (2023). The title of the book refers to Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi (1609-1640), who proved that dreams can come true by fearlessly jumping into the sky with wings he made himself. He accompanies me on this conceptual journey as a metaphor for “glocalization,” which also takes the local into account. See for the book review: (Aras, 2023, pp. 459-464).
